Encounter with the Land | Clay modelling Workshop and Grounding Dialogues (2024)

We recently held our second Unknotting Sentipensares activity: Encounters with the Land.

During this workshop, participants explored clay as a medium to connect with the earth and the memories it holds. It was a beautiful opportunity for a new kind of dialogue through making, as we journeyed inward, aligning with the reflective nature of the season.

Additionally, we shared insights about the relationship between women and pottery making in the Latin American context, enriching the experience with cultural significance.

No prior experience was needed, and participants learned the basics of clay modeling, culminating in the creation of their own pieces, which are now ready for firing.
