Shop front Arpilleras Exhibition - Study Space

This Arpillera exhibited in Study space (257Albert Street, Brunswick) was our first collective creation and was woven between 2017-2018 during the reading of the book “Feminisms from Abya Yala: Ideas and proposals of the women of 607 towns in Our America” by Francesca Gargallo. This work is mobilized by understanding the effects of political memory and historical violence within our bodies; navigating the consequences and conflict of colonization, capitalism and patriarchal oppression have imposed on us.

Study was an experimental social space for workshops,
performances and conversations: a refuge.
